  1. Is there anywhere that has some documentation on the wiki syntax for stuff that isn't on the wikipedia pages? Mostly things like the tabs that appear on the guides, and other graphics and such that seem unique to the STEP wiki. I have never contributed to a wiki before, but I would like to learn how to edit the pages or setup some guides and mod pages.
  2. Try a torrent site, just be careful with the links you click on some are not links but terrible adds. Torrent sites have never been the most wholesome places of the internet. Like the pirate bay links you click the green arrows or the red magnets on the torrent's page.
  3. I believe SkyTweak will be the mod with all the tweaks that you want, plus so many more. Many, many more.
  4. They've mentioned a few times that they moved to a new server cluster that will be more stable in the future. Plus they had quite a bit of DDOS non sense this year. I don't really get why though, it's just a community driven mod site.
  5. One of the other big problems is the lack of private studios that exist. Publishers have carved out so much of the ownership in the industry that they can price out everyone else and make any private studio do as they please if they want money. I think Harmonix, Double Fine and Obsidian are the only private studios that are large enough to attract triple AAA budgets. I get that large scale investment is needed from publishers, but they have to much power right now, so hopefully Greenlight, Kickstarter, and the console indie channels continue to gain revenue in the next generation.
  6. As much as gamers tend to bash EA for their dumb policies, I'd have to credit them for putting money into developing cutting edge game engines. That stuff isn't cheap to do either, with about 80-85% of game sales on consoles they could just step-child that type of stuff and let everything be some cheap port.
  7. I think MCM menu has some options for blood effects. And you can mention it to the author and he could always add it the menu if it's not there.
  8. I like that people are making nice big cities, I just hope they can run with all the mods we use. Having had Wyrmstooth, then Falskaar, Rochebere soon, and Luftahraan a bit after then I'd say that the stream of decent quest mods will probably be some of the most proficient ever for a game. Anyways, Andoran has been updated to Skyrim's engine, so it's no longer coming out for Oblivion. A pretty big, ambitious mod that will probably not come out until everyone has moved on to other things.
  9. With mod organizer you can even just use the replace option when updating. If a mod has the same name that is already installed it will ask you to merge, replace, rename, or cancel. You can replace if the old files aren't required for the update and merge if they old files are required. Don't optimize SMIM, it's mostly meshes and they can't really be optimized.
  10. I saw this trailer for Rochebere and it looks amazing, I really like the city it shows off. Hopefully coming soon actually means soon. [video=youtube]
  11. Yeah, I would uninstall the PP for WATER then just install the new WATER. If you use a mod manager it won't be hard at all.
  12. Is the problem after installing SMIM and not there when SMIM isn't installed? I just really think it isn't this mod's fault.
  13. This has seen a few updates the last couple days. No more WATER Particle Patch for ENB needed. 1.75a From any older version please save your game, totally uninstall the mod and re-install it again. It should be fine. Clean saves are recommended. Updated the mod so it uses some BSA archives instead of loose files. 1.75b (as we go) Updated all water types in "WATER.esp" for slightly more condensed waves, slightly more refraction, and various other tweaks. Fresnal reduced to 0 on all water which should give less reflection at certain viewing angles. This should make it more realistic. Added a river ambient sound "DefaultRiver" water type. Bug fix. Realistic Needs compatibilty is now included. No need for additional mods. Particle patch for ENB users now included in the mod. No other files required. "WATER DB Waves.esp" now carries forward changes from Dawnguard.esm (this plugin now requres Dawnguard as well as Dragonborn). Updated water types for Dragonborn plugins. Dawnguard support. Updated Falskaar plugin and combined it into main mod installer.
  14. I believe you can just hide those files with MO if you go into the filetree when you double click a mod that is installed. EDIT: Brumbek mentioned that he already included all of ENB Particle Patch in SMIM. Can anyone confirm because I kinda notice a difference without Particle Patch installed. Maybe I'm just tired/insane/being trolled by my PC.
  15. It can also mess up your screen shots since it doesn't know the border of you screen and just takes a picture of the image rendered and then you end up with the screenshot in the corner and everything else is black.
  16. Don't use that it's not what you think it is. It has to do with a downsampling method to let the game create a bigger picture than your monitor can display, no clue why you would want to render something you can't see, unless you have an Illumi Room prototype.
  17. You might want to forgo using whatever AA is enabled while using SkyRealism if you want to use SMAA. ENB doesn't support hose AA techniques, but I'm pretty sure SSAA can be force from hardware.
  18. Hmm... I just I thought there was a plugin for the dawnguard stuff, but I had SMIM at an earlier version since I haven't been messing with my current install. I did load it up this morning and the bone piles looks a lot better, but I was indoors so the performance hit wasn't measurable. The bone piles has a much better texture and the meshes makes them look pretty good, but I imagine that you might achieve the same effect with parallax.
  19. With PNENB you also can use the interiors plugin, but since you use ELFX you have a choice between ELFX Enhancer or the PNENB plugin. Both rebalance interiors for darker dungeons, so you just gotta choose which one you like. It's not saturations that bothers me about so many ENBs though it is the warmth that it adds as well. I think ENBs should go the other direction and dry out the color palette to make Skyrim look like an unrelenting icy field and death and mayhem.
  20. It adds AA on distant landscape/objects and sub pixel AA on specular (shiny/reflective) objects. Also, there is a small adjustment to the memory manager that is to technical to explain at my current level sleep deprivation. DoYouEvenModBro, If you are still using PNENB then go ahead and update to 1.64 and v212 to see if it is any good. Just back up a copy of the v209 d3d9.dll to have to fall back on. Also, to all the people with limited ENB and modding experience, might I suggest not messing around with vsync. It seems to be causing more headaches than minds blown.
  21. Kinda makes me wish that Leviathan would start working on SkyBash again.
  22. I don't use BUM, the built in user rules manager in BOSS is good enough for me.
  23. That's a good question. And a better question is when did we start supporting a mod that is defunct and can only be obtained against an author's wishes, regardless of people's opinions of said author? If you aren't going with SRO then just use what is recommends 'Hi-res meshes'.
  24. No it hasn't been evaluated yet, so use whatever you like. The SMIM chests require an esp so just don't use it if you want to use Detailed Chests. There are also new bone piles for Dawnguard, but if you just want the newer texture don't use the esp since the plugin will cause major performance hit.
