  1. They allow different things to get merged into the Bashed Patch to override other mods that might not forward their changes. Helps us by not having to patch certain things.
  2. For future reference, please name suggestion threads after the mod. It makes mods much easier to follow. Saturated ENB palettes always seem to look better to me in game than realistic palettes. Realism is way overrated.
  3. I think we may need to add Bash Tags to mods that don't otherwise have them for the Bashed Patch section. I think WAF and of course CCF for the future. I'm guessing the STEP Patches might need them soon too depending what overwrites it.
  4. IDK when it happened, but he basically spent a year making the mod and busted his ass to get it done. Then he pretty much presented it a resume to show that he could follow through with a big project. Not sure if he was trying to get hired by Bethesda, since I have never heard of them hiring a bunch of modders like Valve does, but Bungie noticed. https://www.tomshardware.com/news/skyrim-falskaar-bungie-alexander-velicky-bethesda,25231.html ELFX is modifying the cells of Skyrim, so a Falskaar mod for ELFX would have to be made to edit the cells. If something is specific to it's location like Water, lighting, weather... it has to have a patch that places the new stuff in it.
  5. If you had 2.0.1 and there was problems with the infinite loop of soul trapping, then you have to go back to before the bug started and then update. Otherwise it is safe. There was only one record that needed forwarding for the STEP Patches from 2.0.1 to 2.0.2 so I didn't even bother updating.
  6. Good enough that Bungie gave the author a job and he is only 19-20 years old. It doesn't really mess with the original Skyrim stuff, so it doesn't need a ton of patching. RW2 and SkyFalls/Mills actually aren't patching as much as they are modding Falskaar.
  7. First off, welcome nomar! No it will not make a difference really unless a BSA has a file that is also in another BSA, the order doesn't matter. If there is more than one BSA with the same file then the BSA that loads last will win. Also, loose files always win out over BSA files.
  8. It is actually included in the STEP Extended Patch. I just overlooked it when making the Patches page.
  9. What res are you using?
  10. Snow textures don't really change enough that you can't use the Terrain Bump stuff. If it really changes up the the way the snow looks then it can't be used.
  11. Open one up in the MO data tab. Just find a texture with _n.dds and look at it. Basically it is a way to add in 3D to a color map so you don't have in more triangles to the meshes.
  12. You have to test. No way to know without loading it up and comparing the shots you take. With that said, I've yet to find anything close to Terrain Bump normals in my experience.Â
  13. I think more salt please makes changes to almost every vendor list. I'll talk with z about dropping it or look into building it another way maybe through leveled lists if that is possible.
  14. That's what keeps the world evolving ;) Definitely how my gf keeps my wallet empty. I like the idea behind this mod. Not sure how often I forget what conjuration spell is in my hand but I don't really play with that type if magic.
  15. Let me know what extended mods are not compatible. We are making lots of changes to extended the next two updates. Most is happening behind the scenes so compatibility in the future may be much easier.
  16. You already have a reason. The STEP team took the time to test everything so you don't have to.
  17. Because that is what we recommend after testing. Hide after you install.
  18. Enb is a combination of graphic enhancement and enboost memory management. The red text means you are only using enboost. We leave using the enb graphics up to the user since it reduces performance quite a bit and you have to find a profile that you like.
  19. The QuickStart is recent but I forgot to add skyrimpref.ini stuff for regular enb. One day I will get to it in my list of infinite step stuff.
  20. That thing is way out of date to be honest. I've neglected it. :(
  21. For professionals that actually know what they need. This doesn't apply to around 99.99% of users and will almost certainly mess up applications that are resource heavy if they need the OS to move pages to disk. Sent from a carrier pigeon. You probably should wash your car now too.
  22. I don't see us using chat that much. We are all to conditioned to divide up our comment by topic… :p Sent from the West Texas desert where it is a beautiful 70 degrees. Suck it Canada.
  23. If you don't know enough about a pagefile then why are messing with it? I really don't get why people trust these tweaking articles to do a better job setting up the OS than a $300 billion company. Bro, you should also know better than to trust that type of stuff too. You've been around here enough to know a lot those tweaks people come up with break more things than they fix. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Look for Optimus fix on the nexus. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
